Hunkemoller are Europe’s largest lingerie brand, with sales touching €1 million a day on their ecommerce platform, and over 960 stores across Europe, Asia, Africa and the Middle East.

The merchandising department needed a commercial merchandiser with wholesale expertise, as this was an area the business were looking to expand to fulfil their third-party partnerships. The client was keen for the role to be based in the UK.


We wanted to present the client with a selection of candidates showcasing broad experience across wholesale, retail, and ecommerce.

Product experience was also important, so recent roles within lingerie retail were preferable, but it was key to understand core merchandising as well as wholesale.


After reviewing candidates from both brands and high street multiples, the decision was made to appoint a candidate who had been Merchandise Manager for another lingerie company, and with previous experience in wholesale.
