    Sourcing Manager

    £55,000 - £60,000


    The opportunity for a Sourcing Manager to be the central point of contact between the Customer, Manufacturer and Design Team for one of the world’s largest supplier of Impact Protection Equipment covering sport, electronic, industrial, defence, and Technological products such as mobile phones and Tablets. You will be pro-actively sourcing across both hard and soft goods, ensuring that the new products sourced meets the business requirements in terms of price, quality and availability.


    Key responsibilities:-

    You will provide direction on supplier footprint and sourcing strategies based on a sound understanding of both industry trends and the needs of the product teams on a regular basis

    You will drive our seasonal vendor planning and long-term strategies based on in-depth performance analysis and business requirements

    You will take the lead on scouting new suppliers for strengthening the supplier portfolio, using both internal and external networks.

    You will lead regular strategic communication with both agents and suppliers, including but not limited to: the running of seasonal supplier meetings

    You are in charge of leading and organizing supplier seasonal reviews, coordinating with our operation and product teams

    You will collaborate with the Raw Materials Department and carry out: material bookings and deals, consolidation, management of Raw Material Suppliers relationship and connection to manufacturers

    You are responsible for overseeing all aspects of vendor management, including. supplier onboarding, guidelines and manuals, up-to-date supplier database, conducting supplier evaluations and maintaining scorecards

    You will manage strategic company projects such as: shorten development and production lead times, develop sourcing offices approach, raw materials strategy and sourcing pilots with suppliers

    You will act as a sounding board between internal stakeholders and suppliers


    Key Requirements:-

    You have successfully completed a degree or equivalent in business administration, textiles, sourcing or similar field

    You have minimum 6-8 years of experience working for a top retailer in Strategic Sourcing and/or Product Management / Buying

    You have strong communication skills to deliver strategic presentations and lead conceptual discussions

    You are a team player with excellent abilities to drive, influence and align different stakeholders, including but not limited to: product teams, operations teams, sourcing offices and suppliers

    You are experienced in regular supplier communication and aware of the sensitivity of such discussions

    You are experienced in strategic planning, conducting and leading comprehensive analysis, including presentation and discussion of results in large internal meetings

    You are an organized individual who pays great attention to detail

    You have a proactive and self-initiating attitude, always willing and looking for new challenges

    You are willing to travel regularly

    You are proficient in written and spoken English
