    Senior Merchandiser

    £55,000 - £60,000

    We have an exciting overseas opportunities for a dynamic Russian Speaking Merchandiser to work within a growing international fashion brand.

    This merchandise position reports into the VP of merchandising within an important department of the business and is responsible for a large OTB.

    Working closely with the buying department providing support and direction on strategic/commercial decision making within a very fast paced environment.

    Good trading aptitude required with relevant retail merchandising experience.

    Skills and Experience

     

    Work closely with buying and design to build the range and ensure ‘newness’ through the chain, incorporating previous season’s experiences into the new department strategy.

    Maximise store sales and profit through effective grading and branch merchandising taking into account differing store profiles.

    To review WSSI’s regularly with the AM and then decide on appropriate action

    Plan promotions in line with the promotional calendar, the division and the company through working with Trading Control.

    Undertake competitive shops understanding the competition in terms of product, price, colour, styling, promotions, and store layout etc. monitoring current and future trends. Also regularly visit stores to gain customer feedback and have relationships with key stores to maximise department performance.

    Present new seasons’ strategy and ranges to all sales managers, personal shoppers and sales associates alongside the buyer in  divisional training days, highlighting features and benefits of new product launches.

    Work with the Buyer to present store CV’s in a commercial and exciting way.

    Ensure that the range is constructed to deliver and drive optimum profit and sales for the department balancing price architecture, core/fashion product, customer profile, supplier profiles, colour and size mixes throughout the chain.

    Present the ranges to the international merchandising team to promote sales through the international partners and to the direct team to promote sales growth via the UK, ROI and European websites.

    Manage the Open-to-Buy, reviewing risk and potential sales opportunities through identifying trends’ and managing mark-downs.

    Manage intake to ensure that all dept and divisional objectives are achieved.

    Manage all stocks and availability targets within set parameters.

    Manage the allocation team to ensure allocations are accurate and timely.

    Responsible for Assistant Merchandisers’ training and development.

    Responsible for managing sales plans, store space and selecting online and in-store product.

    Work with Buyer on online exclusives from existing and new collections.

    Manage profitability through joint promotional activity in line with the clients trading calendar.

    Regularly review supplier performance, and confirm forward planning with briefs and shapewear suppliers.

    Manage rolling greige programme on key categories to maximise flexibility and allow for in season repeats.

    Administer the critical path with the buyer and design through management of the buying calendar and ensuring decisions are communicated to suppliers in good time.

    Excellent use of WSSI

    The ability to relocate
