    I joined V&C in 2015 as an Administrator, quickly progressing to Junior Consultant then Consultant as my skills and knowledge in both the retail and recruitment industries rapidly developed.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    Developing concept sketches to support new business projects, taking account of all critical success factors within desired cost and manufacturing parameters.
    Working directly with supply base to assist with technical queries and to maintain full awareness of manufacturing processes and techniques.
    Producing drawings, specifications and BOM’s for manufacture of prototypes and production roll-outs.
    Providing other functions and colleagues with advice on all aspects of design engineering and technical development.
    Working within strict time parameters in keeping with the demands of retail customers.
    React to project alterations and make adjustments promptly and efficiently.
    Involvement with Development Manager at briefing stage to understand and agree brief and expedite the project management responsibilities from a development perspective.

    Key Requirements:-

    A minimum of 3 years’ experience of technical design within the retail display or shop fitting industry.
    Demonstrable ability with Solidworks and/or AutoCAD design software and inventor.
    Knowledge of shelving systems would be an advantage.
    A good appreciation of the relevant manufacturing processes and materials.
    Knowledge of other design tools such as Illustrator or Photoshop would be an advantage.
    Excellent IT skills, numeracy and analytical ability.
    Strong written and oral communication skills.
    Strong interpersonal skills, able to work both independently and in a team orientated collaborative environment.
    Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high pressure environment.
    Organised, process driven individual who understands, critical paths and approval processes.

    Stock/Store Administrator

    £27,000 - £30,000

    A fantastic opportunity has arsine to work for one of the most prestigious luxury lifestyle brands as Stock/Store Administrator.
    You will effectively and accurately maintain the information on the stock control system and provide administrative support to the store and head office whilst maintaining the standards of excellent customer service, product knowledge, personal presentation and team work.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    Ensure that stock areas are kept safe, clean and tidy at all times.
    Ensure all goods are security tagged, ticketed, handled and stored with due care.
    Take full responsibility for maintaining the stock system (including accurately processing deliveries, returns, IBT, special movements, damaged items, stolen items and loan items).
    Ensure Store Manager’s approval is obtained where required.
    Manage the processing and filing of all documentation relating to your responsibilities.
    Manage the stock control system to ensure that all data is accurate (document details, quantity, cost and selling prices).
    Ensure that ticketing is accurate and regularly checked.
    Ensure that the stock position is accurate (through regular daily stock corrections).
    Support the sales team by providing information on stock searches, repairs and transfers.
    Regularly review, and at the request of the Store Manager, current stock situation to: maximise potential sales, propose stock offers to other stores and deal with slow moving and/or damaged stock.
    Assist Store Manager with updating POS system when requested, to ensure optimum stock levels.
    Communicate all stock and quality issues with the Store Manager.
    Develop and maintain, good and constant communication with your line manager and/or Store Manager.
    Maintain and develop an in depth product knowledge of all departments.
    Ensure merchandise is handled with care and consideration.
    Develop knowledge of after sales processes to best serve and advise the client.
    Be pro-active in familiarising yourself with the merchandise through product training, buying books and catalogues.

    The Store Manager should be experienced across fashion and lifestyle products with an a strong sales background and the ability to business develop and mentor a small team to drive customer awareness to the store.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    Maximize sales and develop the store client book: client conversion and retention.
    Create and oversee the clienteling strategy: client experience and engagement, CRM actions, VICs interaction, trunk shows and private sales events with new and existing customers.
    Partner with external sales drivers: stylists, personal shoppers and private concierges.
    Meet the store operating budget, controlling store expenses.
    Foster a Client centric mind-set by developing and maintaining solid Client relationships.

    Garment Technologist

    £35,000 - £40,000

    We are working with a luxury ladies wear brand based in Central London whom are recruiting an experienced Senior Garment Technologist to join their growing team. This international brand specialises in creating luxurious garments across knitwear, jerseywear and delicate woven fabrics.

    The position plays an instrumental role within the business communicating across Design & Production teams ensuring the accurate and efficient production of garments. Full ownership for garment specifications and critical path management from development to production sealers.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    Working on the fit of garments in all product ranges from the 1st proto through to production.
    Working with the Creative Designer and Owner on fits and assessing factory capabilities for first samples.
    Organising and attending fit meetings with the Production team and relaying clear & concise fit comments to all factories.
    Measuring all samples, creating, amending and updating fully graded specs and providing technical drawings/diagrams where necessary.
    Attending regular Design meetings in order to update the team on sampling progress.
    Liaising with the Pattern Cutter to ensure patterns are amended accordingly, track in-house patterns and ensure that graded patterns are checked prior to sending out to factory.
    Liaising with the Design team & Pattern Cutter to ensure that styles/patterns are prioritised according to the Critical Path and updating tracking tools accordingly.
    Working with the Senior Garment Technologist and the Production Manager to assess fabrics in order to determine suitable vendors.
    Working across departments to ensure that all necessary people are updated on any QA issues or changes in product.
    Working closely alongside our factories to ensure product meets the required quality standards.
    Checking bulk fabrics and gold seal samples are fit for production and ensure factories have all necessary information to deliver a first class product.
    Visiting UK factories to QC production whenever necessary under the guidance of the Production Manager.
    Assisting the Design team with transferring sketches to Illustrator and using Excel to create accurate specs.
    Being a point of contact for factories for any technical issues or queries they may have throughout the sampling period.
    Carry out research against competitors and latest technological advances.
    Working alongside the Production Manager to check and approve shipment samples.
    Spot-checking production by making store and warehouse visits to ensure finishing is of a first-class standard.
    Analysing product returns ensuring that follow up action is taken.

    Key Requirements:-

    Experienced working with luxury fabrics with over 6 years’ experience in a garment technical capacity.
    Passionate about attention to detail.
    Strong communicator.
    Team player and able to work under pressure calmly.
    Understanding a workroom environment.
    Gerber knowledge and pattern cutting would be an advantage.

    Assistant Merchandiser

    We are recruiting for an Assistant Merchandiser to join one of the fastest growing retailers across the UK and Internationally.

    You will need strong WSSI knowledge, analysis and administration skills with at least 3 years’ experience within a fast-paced retailer.


    Key Responsibilities:-

    Monitor sales & stock (Markdowns/trading risks/changing season codes twice yearly).
    Analysis & Administration, maintaining accurate paperwork and making sure there are no data inaccuracies.
    Act as a departmental mentor for Administration Assistants, managing workloads, holding weekly reviews and assessing progress.
    Actively participate in a weekly business objects steering group, validating reports, ensuring fitness for purpose, proposing and designing new reports to cover gaps in current reporting.
    To be completely aware of the development of the range and option plans (responsibility with the buying team and checking, updating and maintaining of store and style grading ensuring all opportunities are maximised).
    Making sure that the merchandise controller is well briefed on all issues under your remit and that to adhere to company policy under the direction of the merchandiser.
    To consistently deliver against company expectations and policy and to make sure suppliers manage the same in the areas under your responsibility.

    Key Requirements:-

    Competent WSSI knowledge is a must to assist in the strategic planning of the business with at least 3-5 years’ experience within merchandising.
