    I joined V&C in 2015 as an Administrator, quickly progressing to Junior Consultant then Consultant as my skills and knowledge in both the retail and recruitment industries rapidly developed.

    I was recently promoted to Operations Executive and Consultant, I now support the Directors with Operational needs and cover all roles at all levels across the whole retail industry from merchandising and buying, to technical and production and beyond.

    We are working with a growing outerwear menswear brand whom are looking for a Junior Account Manager to cover key accounts throughout the UK and Ireland.

    This successful individual will be responsible for the managing of day to day sales and servicing all existing accounts across the UK and Ireland.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    To manage and run the day to day sales of independent stores in the UK and Ireland.
    To service all existing accounts and assist with any queries these accounts may have.
    Arrange and hold customer meetings in both Borehamwood and London offices.

    Ensure samples are with agents and records kept in a timely manner of shipments.

    Key Requirements:-

    1-3 years’ experience of working within account management.
    The ability to research and establish new accounts, clients and agents in the UK.
    The ability to work towards set targets.
    Excellent understanding of customer account details and current situations.
    Full Driving license required.
    Positive and energetic with a desire to succeed.
    Good communication skills both written and orally.

    Estimator

    £35,000 - £40,000

    Opportunity for a Senior Estimator to join the UK’s most leading shop fitting manufacture to be responsible for the company’s global supply base, to provide competitive pricing and winning bids for projects from test and trial, roll-out programs to large scale tenders. Throughout the life of a project, liaise closely with the Project Managers to ensure budget control is maintained whilst completion of projects on time and in adherence to the company’s quality standards. The role also includes project buying to ensure that we deliver through the supply chain.

    Must have a strong buying/supply chain experience with 3rd party manufacture from UK, Europe and Far East and a strong track record of sourcing and controlling a supply chain not only on the initial costing but also on the production side would be an advantage. Must have a good understanding technically on wood, metal and plastic etc, excellent PM and commercial control and strong excel skills.

    Key Responsibilities:-

    Ensure best price and delivery by means of benchmarking and negotiation with suppliers prior to submitting final costs.
    Work proactively on methods to drive efficiency and reduce cost by means of optimising use of the supply chain.
    Manage the bid process of tenders, providing accurate information to give Sales the tools to win.

    Key Requirements:-

    At least 5 years’ experience of estimating or buying within a similar industry.
    A track record of estimating for POP, shop fitting, store fixture, medium and light-weight hardware and ancillary services, particularly relating to assemblies comprising of metal, plastic and wood based materials.
    Direct experience of pricing both domestic and over-seas production.
    Experience of costs within the Far Eastern supply market would be a distinct advantage An understanding of technical drawings.
    Knowledge of Export and Import with experience of pricing global freight.
    Experience of pricing for installation would be a distinct advantage.
    A track record of project buying POP and ancillary services, particularly relating to assemblies comprising of metal, plastic and wood based materials from both domestic and over-seas suppliers, including the Far East.
    Computer literacy with a high level of competence with spread-sheeting, word-processing and production planning software.
    Highly numerate, able to analyse and add value to information.
    Strong excel skills.
    Strong attention to detail.
    Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisation skills.

    Design Development Manager

    Opportunity for a Development Project Manager to join one of the UK’s leading Shop fixtures and fittings manufactures.

    You will be responsible for working closely with the Design teams to collate drawings, specs and BOM’s and work closely with suppliers with development of new products.

    Must have a minimum 5 years’ experience within shopfitting or retail display, with strong Project Management and Design experience.

    Key Responsibilities:- 

    Providing design support to Key Accounts, liaising with Account Directors and Managers.
    Creating agreed, well defined and formulated briefs and communicating these back into the design team using the appropriate documentation and process.
    Supplying technical design support to internal design team utilizing personal areas of expertise where appropriate, expanding personal knowledge base to include multi-disciplined solutions and exploiting value engineering opportunities
    Monitoring and supporting projects as they develop through the design process actively project managing, supplying documentation and liaising with Procurement Account Directors and Managers.
